Hug! and the world hugs with you!
Hug! and we'll all sing loud!
Hug! and then hug harder!
Hug! for your parents proud!
Hug! for an early morning!
Hug! for a lunchtime treat!
Hug! without time for warning!
Hug! knocks us off our feet!
Hug! lest you miss the cuddle!
Hug! you must grab the chance!
Hug! round our necks and middles!
Hug! in a family dance!
Hug! and we'll all sing loud!
Hug! and then hug harder!
Hug! for your parents proud!
Hug! for an early morning!
Hug! for a lunchtime treat!
Hug! without time for warning!
Hug! knocks us off our feet!
Hug! lest you miss the cuddle!
Hug! you must grab the chance!
Hug! round our necks and middles!
Hug! in a family dance!

Date: 2005-11-30 04:54 pm (UTC)We sat her down, reminded her about sharing, being gentle, not being mean, etc. I could watch her digest the concepts in her head. She'd start with her face screwed tightly, nono no no no no, NO nice to stevie! But eventually we'd talk her through it, and she pretty much either bought in or resigned herself. Yay, toddler logic.
So the next day she would run up to each of the boys and THROW her arms around him and yell "BIG HUG!"
Apparently this didn't go over super well, either, because around the fourth time, little Stevie bodyslammed her to the floor.
So much for hugs with BOYS. Hopefully it'll turn her off for a good 20 years.
