Twas Feb'ry, and the winter clothes
Did fade and vanish in the shops
And all the north end of the globe
Wore swimsuits, and plastic flip-flops.

It is a fact, though little known
That babies cease to eat when cold
So that they're but little grown
When winter fashions are, like, so old.

So pull the woolly sweater down
And cover up that gaping draught!
Between the nappy and the gown
The gales will blow both fore and aft.

My baby's blue, I must admire -
It matches well the new Spring shades
And if she sits close to the fire
She should thaw out in a few days.
