Our Health Visitor is retiring :(

Who's a good girl, then? You are! You are!
Who's so lovely? Yes, it's you!
Aren't you a clever one? Yes you are - oh yes you are!
And how is mum, then? No, really, how are you?

She always remembers who I am, who I am,
She always remembers what I've been through,
And she always remembers to tell me, and tell me -
Who's a good girl then? Yes it's you!

Who's got all the time, then? She does, she does!
Who's never hurried? Yes, that's true!
Who can make you feel she cares? She can! She can!
And do we love her? Yes we do!

She always kept her word to us, she did, she did.
She always did her best for us - that we knew!
And she always loved my baby best - and your one, and your one -
All babies were her favourites and so were you!

That's the loveliest way of putting it. I hope she gets to see this, in a card or something.

What a lovely poem, and what lovely sentiments.

I have so many friends who have not-particularly-good HVs and I always feel slightly guilty that ours is lovely, and it's good to know that there are other good HVs out there.

Shame she's retiring though.

I agree with Supermouse - please send her a copy of that!

I too have been extremely lucky with all my HVs (I've had 3 total stars) and feel extremely blessed :-)
